Based on 3D CAD data for individual components or entire vehicle body series, PFINDER analyzes and predicts the coating result early in the planning phase to optimize the solution. Since we develop and design both the corrosion protection media and the application nozzles ourselves, we can calculate very precisely where the material lands on the component and how coating thicknesses, cavity wetting, and flow patterns develop. The combination of in-depth material knowledge and our own nozzle design forms the basis for simulating the subsequent production process.
This allows us to virtually simulate and optimize various variants of nozzle layouts and application parameters with minimal effort. For our customers, this means: When the application system is commissioned, the nozzles, process parameters, and material are already optimally matched—only a few fine adjustments are needed to achieve the desired coating result. This reduces trial-and-error cycles, saves time, and lowers startup costs.
Furthermore, digital feasibility studies help minimize the risk of missed opportunities and improve upstream or downstream process steps. For example, a switch to a different material technology can be virtually evaluated without investing in prototypes or equipment.
Simulation of spray application and flow in vehicle components or individual parts based on CAD data
Virtual optimization of nozzle layout and application parameters
Fewer test cycles and faster commissioning
Nozzles, process parameters, and materials are already optimally matched prior to SOP

A stable and cost-effective application is achieved when the material, nozzle, and process parameters are perfectly matched. PFINDER develops and designs the application nozzles in-house—tailored to your part geometry, cavities, and cycle times.
