PT 2 training courses teach both standard-compliant theoretical principles and intensive practical exercises for the reliable detection of surface defects when using penetrant testing.
They are mostly taken by testing personnel in industrial manufacturing. While Level 1 is intended for the qualification of users, Level 2 also allows test results to be evaluated and approved.
The PT2 course for penetrant testing at SLV Mannheim, a certified training center of the DGZfP, offered our colleague from product development, Niklas Ruf, a solid and practical training opportunity.
Training in accordance with ISO 9712 would not actually be necessary for his daily work. However, this additional perspective has proven to be extremely beneficial in the R&D department at PFINDER NDT for many years and is further complemented by customer visits.
The practical part of the course included the use of the PFINDER 73 ProLight handheld UV lamp, which also impressed at this training center with its balanced UV intensity, uniform illumination, and ergonomic handling.
This training not only strengthens personal qualifications, but also makes an important contribution to PFINDER's high innovative power.
